About a month ago, I started watching this new K-Drama called, "She Was Pretty". Now that I have finished the series, I really must say it has become one of my top five romcoms of all time. If you like shows that would basically be described as cute, modern, and funny, this is definitely the show for you!

A side note: And can anyone just tell me.. am I the only one that starts looking up where all the actresses' entire wardrobes are from? Who else tries to draw inspiration from every single outfit in the show? *raises hand*

At some point, this little onion character makes an entrance. I decided I wanted one for myself. I went ahead and read a little about growing your own onion from a cup of water. Turns out, this pet onion thing is actually a fast-growing trend inspired by the Korean drama.

And before you decide to judge, please.. just take a look at him.
He will make your heart melt.
And I shall call him.. ONION.

So lo and behold, my very own pet onion:

Guerlain Rouge Automatique #143 (yeah, Onion is wearing lipstick as blush)

Send me a picture if you make one for yourself!
Onion and your onion should be friends.

The cold has finally set in sunny California. During this time of year, it is not uncommon to hear "Merry Christmas.. and Happy Birthday," considering these two separate occasions are one right after another. Now that I no longer celebrate with cake and party glitter, I allow myself one extravagant purchase a year. Perhaps you might draw inspiration from my wish-list and add it onto your list of things to give. Maybe to even pile it onto your already pending holiday wish-list. Nonetheless, prepare to break the bank.

1. Lighter case | Sometimes you need a little je ne sais quoi to spice things up a bit. Let me tell you, Are You Am I has these custom lighter cases that will make you feel like you just got it. What is cooler than having your name engraved on something as posh as this?

2. Cosmetic case | Makeup bags or cosmetic cases, what have you, aren't often things that people willingly drop three bills on. However, this Anya Hindmarsh's inflight cosmetic case is perfect for those who enjoy traveling (or in my case, the idea of traveling), with a "take off" and "touch-down" compartment to separate cosmetics and skincare. I think this is brilliant.

3. Motorcycle helmet | About a year ago, I took the motorcycle riding test. I have yet to go in to my written exam, but as soon as I do, I will be officially M1 licensed! I'm thinking modern Power Rangers kind of badass. A sleek motorcycle with a chrome silver helmet to tie the whole look together. I have had this one from Masei bookmarked since I decided to take the motorcycle training course. I am also really diggin' this ice chrome blue as well .

4. Black boots | Now, my friends always ask me, "how many pair of black boots do you actually need?" Well, to answer their question, about a bajillion. Can I just tell you.. black boots are essential to everybody's wardrobe. Even yours. Yes, even you. One of my favorite styles of boots are chelsea boots and nobody kills styling with black more than Saint Laurent.

5. Full-length mirror | A full-length mirror can change your world. I have a mirror, but its not full length. My neighbor gave it to me and I've been using it for years. I've been thinking about investing in one with a thin frame. Take West Elm for example. And for a more economical recommendation, here's one from Ikea.

6. Yoga mat | Exercising is one of those things that a lot of people want to do, but don't know where to start. I was visiting my local LA Fitness religiously for about a month and a half before I used up all my roll-out-of-bed-to-drive-to-the-gym energy. So I'm thinking I should invest in a quality yoga mat for days where I am too lazy to walk out of my driveway. I've been doing high-intensity workouts every other day with cardio in between. I think this 5mm thick Lululemon one can withstand the pressure of my flat feet. Call it a health-enabled purchase if you will.

7. Gold earrings | I have really sensitive earlobes that get irritated when I wear brass or sterling silver. My mom says I should try the "real stuff," so maybe its time I invest in a pair. I love the style of these Pamela Love hoop earrings, but they have long since sold out. But any 14k gold pair of hoop earrings would do. Take these Catbird NYC hoop earrings for example.

8. Bed frame | Since childhood, I have almost always slept on a mattress on the floor. Up until my last year of college, I didn't even own a bed frame and even then, mine was given to me secondhand. I think bed frames are one of those underrated adult purchases. Nobody really talks about it. Though, having one makes me feel oh so grown up. I particularly like this one from West Elm.

9. Sectional sofa | Recently, I have acquired myself a smart TV. The next logical step is obviously to pair it with a fabulous sectional. It is only right that I do that so my TV will have a new best friend. I'm thinking something mid-modern with narrow legs. I'm imagining like a bit of a gold for short legs, but this one from West Elm is just as sophisticated.

10. Tripod | I used to have one until I broke it. I feel like tripods are one of those things that I don't absolutely need, but it's incredibly handy to have one around. Here's an affordable one from Amazon.

Stay warm and drink lots of hot cocoa this holiday season.
Xoxo, Ada

A few years ago, I was lusting over these Clare Vivier messenger bags-the one in black nubuck to be exact. Not too long later, I purchased one and loved using it for about a year to a year and a half before I decided that it was a little too long for someone my height. Personal preference, I suppose. It's still a beautiful bag nonetheless. But since I have been closet purging to shrink down my wardrobe, I have been editing out a lot of older pieces so that I can purchase new ones. The rule is: for every new item I purchase, I must rid of 3-5 older pieces. Maybe someday I will repurchase another Clare V. messenger bag, but the whole idea is if my handbag isn't receiving enough love, there is a better place for it. But like they say, out with the old, in with the new.

Ladies and gentlemen, today I am presenting to you my new in Clare V. Simple Tote

My new in Clare V. Simple Tote falls a few inches underneath my arm. It doesn't have a zip compartment, though, which I prefer. But I just like the overall look of the Simple Tote a lot more. I love cross body bags but this is the one tote bag that I have always loved the look of. Thoughts? Opinions?
