(a Fujifilm shot from December 2020)

Every year, I do a holiday and/or birthday wishlist and it's always one of my favorite boards to put together. As I look back on my lists from the years prior, I've realized how consistent I am in my *ultimate wishlist items*. A lot of the items I've included in lists before, I have actually gone back to purchase and still love and use 'til this day.

With that said, I wanted to share some of the things that I have been eyeing this year.

1. Acne Studios Oversized Biker Jacket Is anyone else constantly searching for the perfect leather jacket? I have two that I wear often (one cropped and one that fits me slightly loose), but I have always wanted an oversized one that is a bit more worn in and vintage looking. Thinking like 90's vintage leather jacket vibes! This one from Acne Studios looks similar to what I'm looking for but at a much steeper price tag. Stunning though!

2. Kodak Portra 400 Need I say more? I'm in dire need of more film.

3. Amarilo Diamond Number Charm This is one of those I-bought-the-first-half-but-will-buy-the-second-half-later purchases. I have a necklace and a number charm already, but am missing this last one.

4. Saint Laurent Printed Airpod Case Nobody needs a designer Airpod case, but this is one of those "don't need but is gorgeous to look at" wishlist items. In any case, an Airpod case would still make a great holiday gift for friends and family since it is practical and lots of places do really cute ones.

5. Ann Demeulemeester Lace-up Leather Ankle Boots I definitely don't need another pair of black boots but I've had Ann Demeulemeester boots on my wishlist for ages. For some reason, I always come back to these. I'm not sure why I'm so drawn to them but I think I just really like the shape.

6. Our Place Always Pan in Steam I really need a pan that has a lid because I have 3 bags of dumplings in my freezer that I have yet to eat because the 1 pan I own does not have a lid. I like this one from Our Place because it's a deeper pan that would work for both boiling pasta as well as steaming, sautéing, and more. Anything multipurpose is great because I don't have a full kitchen in my studio.

7. Toshiba Microwave Oven The older you get, the more "practical" items begin to show up on your wishlist. Yes, I want a microwave for my studio. I do not currently have one and this one has good ratings. This is one of those purchases that you buy once and you don't have to think about it ever again (at least for many years to come).

8. Oatmeal Cotton Citizen Ibiza Turtleneck I mean, winter is coming right? I really like tops that have zippers. I think this one is a fun take on a classic turtleneck. Also, it's in an oatmeal color!

9. Also not on the collage but I want a bike. I had it on my 2017 wishlist and it has been on my wishlist ever since, but I still haven't gotten one.

Anyways, this was fun to put together. 2020 has really been a ****show, but I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and will have a safe Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend.

Until next time,

Ada

I think everyone can pretty much agree that this year has definitely not been easy to say the least. With one hurdle after another beginning with COVID. And just when you think it can't get any worse, it does and it did. Despite all of that, I did want to take a moment this Thanksgiving day to really focus on the things that I am grateful for in 2020.

I read somewhere that dogs spend more than half their lives waiting for their owners to come home so for being able to spend more time with Nals, I am really grateful. Then on the weekends, both she and I have also been working on our fitness. I, not only feel better physically, but spending the time on the weekends to really take care of myself and enjoy the outdoors has made a great impact on my mental health.

Through all of this, I was still able to keep in touch my closest friends as well as make new ones. The relationships I've fostered during this pandemic have been invaluable to me and the memories, priceless. Sending love and light to everyone this Thanksgiving! Please be safe and eat tons of food.

Goodbye, sweet August. Here are some photos from a weekend of camping and a hike to the Palisade Glacier Trail. Such an unforgettable way to unplug after months of quarantine. To new friends, more adventures, and lots of sunlight.

We are well into fall and though the weather is still relatively warm in SoCal, the evenings have definitely been cooler. The thought of weather being chilly enough for knit sweaters and leather jackets is an exciting time, so I thought I'd put together a moodboard for inspo to celebrate!

That is all. Have a great weekend, everybody 🙂

Until next time,
Ada
