Just last weekend, I went to Rise Festival with a friend I had made only months before. I invited her to send her off before she moved up north for work. It was an incredible weekend getaway that was long awaited. We showed up a little before the release of the first round of lanterns. In short, it was one of the most beautiful evenings that I have ever had.

Although the moment of lanterns rising passed fairly quickly, the night will be easily remembered forever. Until next time!

This was part of a citywide art initiative by Impermanence that used development sites as canvases. Very, very cool. For this project, 3 houses were painted on the corner of a residential block. Everything was painted a bright fluorescent pink. From the bushes, the floors, to the walls and the doors. I was lucky enough to see it in person and take some pictures before these houses were demolished for space to build new apartment buildings.

Pink has definitely been trending for the last year and a half. The color choice definitely makes a statement. It's like a real-life Barbie Dream House!
