I think everyone can pretty much agree that this year has definitely not been easy to say the least. With one hurdle after another beginning with COVID. And just when you think it can't get any worse, it does and it did. Despite all of that, I did want to take a moment this Thanksgiving day to really focus on the things that I am grateful for in 2020.

I read somewhere that dogs spend more than half their lives waiting for their owners to come home so for being able to spend more time with Nals, I am really grateful. Then on the weekends, both she and I have also been working on our fitness. I, not only feel better physically, but spending the time on the weekends to really take care of myself and enjoy the outdoors has made a great impact on my mental health.

Through all of this, I was still able to keep in touch my closest friends as well as make new ones. The relationships I've fostered during this pandemic have been invaluable to me and the memories, priceless. Sending love and light to everyone this Thanksgiving! Please be safe and eat tons of food.

Looking back, I think 2018 was a big year for me. I began the New Year with both a full-time and part-time job. There was a lot I wanted to do but didn't have enough time to. Though I learned a lot, I was pretty burnt out for most of it. Late October, I bid my farewells to my part-time job. Since then, I have had some time to re-energize and self reflect. Be there any self-growth in 2019, I will be keeping discipline and commitment top-of-mind.

Some things I'm looking forward to this year:
  1. Exploring things that inspire me.
  2. To read a minimum of 4 books. One in each category: personal finance, investment, historical fiction, and the last one can be anything that piques my interest when it comes.
  3. Looking after myself more frequently. Mentally, emotionally, physically. All of it.

Talk soon,
Ada

We've never had a formal introduction. Let's start over.

Hello, my name is Ada Tran, recent college graduate. After I graduated, I took some time off in the Winter to visit Thailand (will post about my Thailand trip soon). Since I've been back, I have been working hard at looking for potential employment opportunities. To make my time useful during this period of unemployment, I have recently started this blog and a coding class to further explore my passion in the creatives.

For a long time, I have always hesitated to share my love for things like fashion, design, interior decor, amongst other things, on the world wide web. Four years ago, I tried to create a blog when I was first starting out in college but because I was in a transitional phase in my life, I didn't pursue it. I thought creative pursuits would take me away from school, but it never occurred to me that these two things could go hand-in-hand. Nevertheless, here I am now with a Marketing degree, hoping to create something beautiful. I hope you will follow me on this journey and see where it takes me. Wish me luck!
